all about podcasting
A space to share contests, interviews, tips and more
Google Play has made itself into a strong, new competitor in the podcasting scene over the last couple of years. There are over 2 billion Android devices that are active monthly as of 2017, which means that these users are only a couple of taps away from the Google Play store and from discovering your podcast. Here's what you need included on your RSS feed to get onto Google Play:
Author tag The Author tag is added to your RSS feed once you fill in your name in your Public Profile Settings and click save. Email tag To add the email tag, click the "Directories" tab from your Podcast Settings and then click "iTunes Settings (Advanced)". You'll see a field labeled "My public email address for iTunes is (visible in my RSS feed)" where you can input an email address which will be publicly displayed on your RSS feed. Clicking "Save" will generate the email tag onto your feed. Title, Description, and Language tags + Image The Title tag, Description tag, and Language tag are created by writing in or selecting a title, description, and language in your Podcast Settings. Click "Save" after these three elements have been added and they'll be included on your RSS feed. You can also select your cover art image in this same location. Google recommends that your cover art be in the range of 1,200x1,200 pixels to 7,000x7,000 pixels. If you haven't yet uploaded an image, you can upload here. How to Submit Copy your RSS feed from your management page and head over here to Google Play to begin the submission process. Click on "Publish", and make sure that you're logged into their system. Then, click on the blue button labeled "Add a Podcast". You can then paste in your Podomatic RSS feed, and click "Submit RSS Feed". After you submit your feed, Google will notify you via email if your podcast has been accepted or rejected. If you're more of a visual learner, check out this video we created on how to submit your feed:

It would be helpful if your blog had a search function so we could search past articles for help. Please add this
